CERUMENTRIC is a Filipino synth-driven indie rock outfit with only one permanent member, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Erick A.Fabian. The band bends musical styles and genres as one bends wire, but has its own distinct sound that has influences from punk, shoegaze, 90's Big Beat, alt-rock, synth-based Berlin School electronic acts, maximalist electro and progressive rock.
CERUMENTRIC is a one-man electro-punk rock band, specifically Erick A. Fabian Sr. tinkering with analogue synthesizers, rock beats, samplers, melodicas, recorders, and ecstatic otherworldly swirls, to create epic pop songs that can make you dance and think at the same time. During live sets, stage tech Kyril Dx sessions on additional keys and pad effects.
CERUMENTRIC is a two-time Asia Voice Independent Music Awards (AVIMA) nominee for Best Electro/Dance Act, alongside big acts from other Asian countries such as Funky Gong (Japan), Analog Girl (Singapore), and Bottlesmoker (Indonesia).
CERUMENTRIC has opened for international acts Psydoll (Japan) and Bottlesmoker (Indonesia).
CERUMENTRIC was Featured Artist For August 2008 in MusikLokal.com's Dance/Electronica section.
CERUMENTRIC has performed in large venues, DIY underground shows, music bars, restaurants, thrift bookstores, film showings, living room concerts, garages and even college classrooms.
CERUMENTRIC has taken part in events such as Synthicide, Bob Dylan Night At Conspiracy, Rock 'N Rhythm Nite, 100 Shows For Haiti, Happy Mondays At Conspiracy, DLSU Arts Congress, Subkulture's Eternal Death Wake, A*FEST and Ignite Manila.
